How Long Does It Really
Take to Upgrade an Elevator Cab?
Clear timelines and expectations help you plan for success and avoid surprises.
When you’re responsible for a property or a construction project, timelines matter; so how long does it actually take to update an elevator cab interior?
At AmeriCab Interiors, most projects follow this general timeline:
- Consultation, design & planning: 1–2 weeks, depending on design approvals.
- Fabrication: 8-10 weeks for materials to be cut, finished, and prepped.
- Installation: Typically just a few days per cab, depending on scope and schedule coordination.
That means most projects — from first conversation to finished cab — fall within a 10-12 week window.
Of course, larger or more customized projects may require more time, but the key takeaway is this: the installation itself is quick.
Because our fabrication happens offsite and is planned in advance, building downtime is minimal.
And with a dedicated account manager overseeing design, fabrication, and installation, you’ll always have a clear timeline and a single, reliable source of updates.
